Description

d2 digital is a company with firm ethical principles whose traditional work was based around web development on sensitive issues such as child drug abuse, PSHE and citizenship. However when the opportunity came to produce content for 4learnings GridClub we jumped at the chance.

Our entire team spent afternoons scribbling down ideas and coming up with hundreds of different solutions. Eventually we designed Art Factory – a huge willy wonka themed environment with hundreds of art ideas, things to do, interactive games and even interactive optical illusions.

The scale of Art Factory, was at the time one of the largest projects d2 had undertaken. Though we certainly had our work cut out with the limitations of Flash mx; the project was a critical success and I learned a great deal from the experience. To d2’s proud credit, Art Factory is still consistently one of the most popular products on GridClub.

The GridClub has since been sold privately and is now a subscription website – but I’ve included some screenshots of our content
